Eugen Sandow’s body was buried in Roehampton Vale Cemetery, London. His grave was unmarked for over 70 years, as requested by his wife, as he’s said to have died from syphilis – which affected his heart, thereby giving him a stroke – from having too much sex with other women (and possibly men).

This man had a healthy motive and balanced approach to lifting weights (and exercise in general) which is not generally seen in gyms (world-wide) these days. We can all learn a lot from him. If you’re into weight training, that is.
